I've been playing a weekly poker game with close friends for about three years now. This past Monday I won the tournament for the first time. Of course I've gotten second and third numerous times before, but I've finaly won. All I hope now is that it becomes a habbit.
Every year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the Portsmouth Judo Club has Pie Night. Basically, Judoka come and work-out in the evening, then we all go to Sensei's house for pie and beer.
One of the specialties of this event is the 'sampler'. Imagine having a slice each of 10 different pies on your plate. This was my third year attending Pie Night, but I have yet to try the sampler. I'm not particularly all that partial to sweets.
My brother, who's serving in the Army and also an avid Judoka started a satelite Pie Night with his Judo club in Alaska.
For the first time this year, I attended the annual Pumkin Fest in Keene, NH. This event served me beyond my expectations and will remain a fond memory of mine.
I caught up with friends from high school. I met up with them at a huge party and it was like a who's who of New Hampshire. Everyone was there.
At some point walking around town I stopped in a comic book store. I later learned that you can't buy comic books on the internet because the comic book store industry is protected from that.
